Best Craft Furniture is a custom order upholstery company that originated in 1990 in east central Wisconsin, and was started with six employees. They started with high quality and medium price point in mind. Today, Best Craft employs 70 people and continues building furniture in the old fashioned way.
Best Craft is a "bench made product in the tradition of early furniture craftsmen. "Bench mad" simply means that all components come together at one spot in the plant and become the responsibility of one individual to produce the final product. The wood frame, fill material, cut and sewn fabric panels and seat cushions are transformed by one skilled person from mere components to a functional home furnishings product. This person then stamps the attached tag along with frame builder and inspection personnel, to assure their work meets both individual and company expectations for quality. The piece is then passed on for final inspection. Fabric selections are made with both performance and aesthetics in mind. Mill tested fabrics selected by Best Craft are normally selected from quick ship programs to insure fewer back orders to the stores. To help insure product arrives in excellent shape, Best Craft Furniture delivers on their own trucks. This final effort insures control of the product from door to door.
Best Craft Furniture has apartment sized sofas which is great when a regular sized sofa is just a bit to big. In the Plymouth Furniture showroom Best Craft and flexsteel furniture both have a different spring system than most other companies. Best Craft has a more firm seat than most companies. Best Craft currently has the only futon carried in the regular furniture store (along the clearance center regularly has flip flops and futons). What makes Best Craft futons different from other futons is the thick quality pad used along with the fully upholstered back and the different options of wood trim from very north wood rustic to mission style.
