1. Budget- Setting a budget can determine wether you can widen or narrow down your search. Another option to consider is financing. Plymouth Furniture works with mulitple companies to ensure you can find a lender if you so choose. 
2. Space- Determine what room your are purchasing furniture for. Measureing doorways, stairs (if applicable), and hallways is also a good idea. Then think about space - do you want to have a reasonable amount of space to walk around or are you planning on placing other decor near the furniture?
3. Funtionality- Serving for entertainment purposes, having comfortable seating, integrating media features (charging stations, wireless remote, console options etc.) How you use a space determines what furniture peices you will actually want in your room. 
4. Quality and Durability- Do you have a family/pet, is the space a high traffic environment? How long will the furniture last (5, 10, 15 plus years)? 
5. Style- Do you prefer stationary or motion? If stationary, would you prefer high legs on your piece of furniture? What is the environment like- high or low traffic, formal room, game room, etc.?
